Job Description

Job Description A client of Insight Global is seeking a Director of Quality to lead enterprise‑wide quality strategy, compliance, and operational excellence across all five manufacturing sites. This leader will partner closely with senior operations leadership, engineering, manufacturing, and customer‑facing teams to standardize quality systems, strengthen problem‑solving capability, and embed a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is a seasoned quality leader with multi‑site experience who can influence at all levels, drive measurable improvements, and define what "good" looks like across the organization.   • Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations, business, or related field
  • 10+ years of quality assurance leadership in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in tier 1 automotive or aerospace mature industries (not OEM's like Ford or Toyota -- these are companies that supply parts directly to OEM's such as Magna International or Yanfeng Automotive Interiors)
  • Strong working knowledge of Lean, CI, and Operational Excellence methodologies
  • Proven experience facilitating Kaizen events, Gemba walks, and Lean activities
  • Be able to explain how they fully owned and drove Kaizen events. How they guided their teams and streamlined the entire process, what the results were, etc.
  • Green Belt, Black Belt, or Six Sigma certifications
  • Consistent career progression inside of their company (LONG tenure and progression within companies)
  • Proven experience supporting multi‑site operations
  • Strong understanding of regulatory, environmental, and quality compliance standards
  • Demonstrated success implementing quality systems, audits, and enterprise‑level improvements
  • Experience leading cross‑functional teams and influencing without direct authority
  • Ability to define and standardize quality KPIs, metrics, and accountability systems
  • Experience facilitating root cause analysis, corrective actions, and structured problem‑solving
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage leaders, supervisors, and frontline teams
  • Master's degree
  • ASQ CQE, or similar quality certifications
  • Experience hiring, coaching, and evaluating quality managers or quality engineers
  • Working knowledge of financial concepts and cost drivers (P&L exposure helpful)
  • Additional Lean or Operational Excellence certifications
