Job Description

Job Overview We are looking for an experienced Polyethylene Pipe Quality Control Manager/Supervisor to join our team. We are seeking a highly motivated hardworking individual who works well in a fast-paced environment. To excel in this position, the candidate must be able to communicate well with others, and willing to work at a fast pace while maintaining the quality and accuracy set forth in the job expectations. This person is responsible for all quality processes through all phases of the operation. Essential Responsibilities Adhere to OSHA and plant safety rules, policies, procedures, and regulation Develop site-specific QA/QC procedures and manage the quality work performed by the company or its subcontractors on-site Oversee and manage all quality control processes related to polyethylene pipe extrusion Supervise a small team of pipe inspectors providing coaching and training Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and customer specifications (NSF, FM) Communicate with production personnel about current inspection results and coordinate to determine corrective action plans when necessary Develop quality training program then mentor shop personnel in quality best practices and visual inspection standards Lead internal audits and implement corrective actions to maintain quality assurance systems Participate in third-party audits and customer inspections Interface with internal and external customers to resolve quality-related issues Monitor and continuously improve quality control metrics and shop performance Perform duties with minimum supervision Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Good understanding of audit process including FM and NSF audits A minimum of 3 years of experience in a quality control role within a manufacturing environment Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with effective communication Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly convey quality control principles to team members Physical Requirements Ability to work in outdoor environments with potential exposure to dust, noise, and inclement weather conditions Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
