Job Overview The quality assurance supervisor plans and directs activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials and products. The Quality Supervisor position will be working for a phone service operation based in Fort Worth, Texas, and will report to the quality manager. This position involves supervision of Quality personnel, processes and procedures to ensure quality product and customer service. Duties
- Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
- Assists the quality engineer in developing and maintaining the ISO9001 procedures and work instructions.
- Ensure adherence to; Work instructions, travelers, IPC standards (e.g., soldering, workmanship), and Customer-specific requirements.
- Develops and implements methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility. Maintain the Material Review Area to ensure that all products are distributed in a timely manner.
- Directs workers engaged in measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliability.
- May assist the Quality manager in maintaining the Gage room and the distribution of all measuring equipment as well as calibration requirements.
- Suggests and implements changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase safety and efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
- Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
- Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
- Maintains time and production records.
- Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
- Interfaces with other Departments and any internal Trainer to develop and implement training programs as required.
- Train Quality Associates where required and fills out training records to ensure ISO9001 and other ISO Standards compliance are maintained.
- Define each sub functional team's KPI and manage to ensure the targets are met
- Supervise staff to ensure the team's performance meets or exceeds managements expectation
- Work with NPI/Engineering to ensure new equipment qualifications are completed
- Ensure employees are performing duties in support of Quality Assurance & Quality Control are qualified to perform process tasks
- Manage and review Corrective Action Records to ensure corrective action effectiveness
- Maintain the effectiveness of the Quality Management System according to the applicable standards
- Participate in Lean Manufacturing Teams and / or company key principles on quality, costs, productivity and social responsibility, etc.
- Confers with workers' representatives and Human Resources to resolve grievances.
- Other duties as assigned
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor Degree or above
- Minimal 3 years of industrial work experience required and quality assurance team management experience required
- High volume production work environment experience required
- Previous experience in a production environment and/or cell phone industry: Quality IQC, Triage, Cosmetic and Function
Six Sigma:
Yellow Belt or higher
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English.

- Comply with the annual mandatory training plan.
- Maintain the effectiveness of the Quality Management System according to the applicable standards.

Pay:
$55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
