INTRODUCTION
This job description describes the authority, duties, responsibilities, reporting relationships and measure of accomplishment for the functional position of the QA Supervisor/ Document Specialist of All-Plastics.BASIC FUNCTION
This position reports to the Quality Director and is responsible for coordinating quality assurance through training and interfacing with employees and customers. This position will provide a quality system which will insure that the products designed, manufactured, and sold by All-Plastics meet all customer specifications and monitor the Quality system to ensure continued compliance. This position is responsible for maintenance of the company's Quality System documents. This position also performs Incoming Receiving Inspections and serves as an additional Quality Inspector, as needed.AUTHORITY
The QA Supervisor/ Document Specialist receives sufficient authority from and is accountable to the Quality Director for the successful completion of assigned duties and responsibilities. Must make all decisions and assume full responsibility for the effective supervision of the QA Department.REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
The QA Supervisor reports directly to the Quality Director Directly supervises less than 8 employees.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The principal duties and responsibilities of the QA Supervisor/ Document Specialist consist of, but are not limited to, the following: Quality Culture- Responsible to take the leadership role in changing/maintaining the quality culture of the company. - Develop, lead, facilitate and participate in quality improvement teams. Responsible for motivating and generating teamwork within teams. Focus will be on defect prevention rather than defect detection. Quality Conformance
- Responsible for ensuring that all raw materials, produced product, and contract manufactured product conforms to quality standards. Provides support and recommendations on adjustments required for in-process production. Functions as back up ISO Management Representative and ensures continued ISO certification. Responsible for all departmental documentation. Customer Service
- Responsible for ensuring customer service through product quality.
- Provide leadership, direction and management for Quality Improvement personnel. Ensures conformance with departmental objectives. Train team participants from other departments. Decision Making
- Responsible for the establishment and maintenance of quality improvement policies.

MEASUREMENT OF PERFORMANCE
The QA Supervisor/ Document Specialist shall be deemed to be performing in a satisfactory manner when the following have been met and/or exceeded: Departmental narratives completed with 7 days of month end (which includes the QA % number orders shipped/orders shipped without a problem) external DPPM, number of first articles, number of line audits. EDUCATION:
Preferred:
Minimum of High School Diploma. Also prefer a minimum of 5 years management experience with demonstrated TQM, communication, interpersonal, leadership skills.Required:
High School Diploma with a minimum of five years of relevant experience in quality or product assuranceSKILLS:
Strong (effective) written and verbal communication skills, organizational abilities, and analytical skills. Must know how to use instruments such as calipers, micrometers, optical comparator, gages and other devices required to accomplish job requirements.Other required skills include:
Appreciation and knowledge of team concepts Familiar with manufacturing systems to allow for cross-functional improvement processes to be pursued. Thorough working knowledge of workflow processing. Ability to work independently in solving problems and assisting in projects. Flexible work style Project planning skills Needs-assessment abilities Business process and system design Principles of Total Quality Management Ability to efficiently manage multiple projects Team facilitation skillsPHYSICAL
Includes lifting, sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and use of hands and arms. Job may require heavy lifting (Up to 50 lbs.). Peripheral vision and depth perception required.MENTAL:

CONDITIONS
Required to work throughout the plant in both air conditioned and non-air-conditioned situations. May work around and on machinery, using various kinds of machine and hand tools. Work environment may be hazardous, noisy, and dusty.Similar remote jobs
