Location:

$86,000-$160,000 (based on experience and leadership scope) About Harmon At Harmon, we thrive on tackling complex building projects and bringing our customers' visions to the next level. For more than 60 years, we have helped shape skylines across the country through operational excellence and world class engineering. We dig into every project with the goal of being the most knowledgeable team on the job. That approach has made us one of the most trusted partners in the country for building facade projects. As a Quality Manager you will own quality across two manufacturing sites and build the system that keeps product, process, and people aligned to customer expectations. This is a hands on leadership role for someone who knows how to step into an environment with limited structure and create the playbook. You will lead inspectors and quality leads on the floor, partner closely with Operations and Engineering, and establish a quality management system that drives consistency, accountability, and confidence across both plants. If you have built or rebuilt quality programs in custom fabrication, precision manufacturing, facade, curtainwall, or engineer to order environments, this is where you get to do it again with full ownership.
What you will do:
Lead all quality functions across two curtainwall manufacturing facilities Act as the front line authority for product quality on the shop floor Manage inspectors and quality leads while setting clear expectations and accountability Build, deploy, and sustain a practical Quality Management System where little structure exists today Ensure fabrication, assembly, and glazing meet drawings, tolerances, finishes, and customer standards Partner with Operations, Engineering, Field teams, and Customers to resolve issues and prevent repeat defects Own quality metrics such as first pass yield, defect rates, scrap, rework, and corrective actions Lead root cause investigations and drive continuous improvement initiatives Prepare the sites for internal and external audits and maintain quality documentation Serve as the primary escalation point for major customer quality concerns Help create a culture where quality is owned by everyone, not just the quality team What we are looking for: 5+ years in manufacturing quality in curtainwall, facade, precision fabrication, assembly, or engineer to order environments 2+ years leading people in a quality or manufacturing setting Experience building or improving a quality system, not just maintaining one Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T Knowledge of mechanical inspection methods, tolerances, and finishes Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar QMS standards Lean or Six Sigma experience is a plus A confident communicator who can lead on the floor and in leadership meetings Someone comfortable working in a highly customized, low standard work environment An entrepreneurial, roll up your sleeves leader who can bring structure, clarity, and operating rhythm to the business Why this role is different You are not walking into a mature, highly documented system. You are being trusted to help create it. You will have visibility with leadership, real influence across two plants, and the opportunity to leave your mark on how quality is defined and executed in this business. Our values We collaborate across teams. We focus on results and customer expectations. We do the right thing and treat each other with respect. We stay flexible as business needs change. We value balance and a welcoming environment. We make sure there is clarity and alignment before moving forward. If you are a quality leader who likes to build, lead, and improve rather than maintain the status quo, we would like to talk with you. #LI-AM2 Our Benefits We care about and invest in our employees. We are proud to offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support their well-being and foster professional development. Here is a glimpse of what you can look forward to if you join our team. Competitive Benefits Package for employees and their dependents (Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability) Incentive Plans 401(k) with employer contribution and match Employee Stock Purchase Plan with employer match Paid Time Off (Vacation and Sick Time) Paid Holidays Tuition Reimbursement Program Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Wellness Program Training and Career Progression Apogee and our brands are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
