Subsidiary Steel Dynamics Overview Organizes and maintains SDI Sinton's Internal Quality Control Management System and processes associated Quality Certifications. Responsibilities Promote continuous quality improvement in cooperation with production departments, product managers, and suppliers as it relates to purchasing, receiving, production, out-side processing, shipping, and customer satisfaction. Manage SDI Sinton's
ISO 9001
2015 / IATF 16949:2016 Quality Management System. Monitor SDI Sinton's RMA system, direct claim flow where appropriate and work with colleagues and managers to reduce customer claims through preventative means. Conduct both quarterly and ad-hoc process audits with the other quality team members. Support safety initiatives throughout the mill. Regularly perform quality checks in office, laboratory, and production settings. Log results and communicate observations and proposed corrective actions to appropriate colleagues and management. Lead change with a customer and quality-focused mentality. Work with purchasing, sales, scheduling and production on change management practices. Work with the other Quality Team members to prepare for
ISO / IATF
audits and any required customer audits. Responsible for writing and completing internal Corrective Action Reports (CARs) and any customer-required CARs. Qualifications 4-year Degree in Engineering, Materials Management, Business Administration, Business Management, Operations Planning or related field. 3 years of experience in Quality Control Management and/or
ISO 9001 / IATF 16949
program management. Self-motivated with a positive attitude. Able to thrive in pressure situations. Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events. Excellent and demonstrated communication skills (oral and written). In depth understanding of ISO, ASTM, SAE and selected user-specific steel specifications, gage and measuring device use and control, and other related Quality Control related topics.
