Inspecting produce and non-produce items on inbound loads or stocked inventory and working efficiently with multiple departments.

$24.00 - $25.25 per hourResponsibilities:
Daily inspections of produce received from vendors, produce stored in the distribution center, and produce shipped to our customers to ensure produce meets quality expectations set by Nicholas and Company. Refuse or accept produce at the time of receiving and maintaining records of all inspections, refusals, and daily reports. Daily inspection of produce in storage location for quality, condition, and shelf life and removing produce from inventory that does not meet quality specifications. Temperature inspection Quality Sizing Create transactions in ERP Keying adjustments for removal of product. Creating transfers for product. Placing condition codes on product. Inspect product with reported quality issues whether inbound or stocked Provide findings via written communication Resolve quality using established processes Communicate relevant information on all produce received with issues pertaining to quality and quantity internally and externally and document and report issues to the supplier.Requirements:
At least six months in warehouse environment. Previous experience working with produce is plus but not required Possess basic computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs and tablet use Able to make timely decisions using sound judgement and demonstrates attention to detail, self-motivation, and the ability to communicate and coordinate with other team members Able to work in a variety of temperatures (cooler, dry, freezer) Previous experience operating a pallet jack, forklift, man-lift and other industrial warehouse equipment or willingness to be trained/certified on such equipment About us Since 1939, our family has delivered quality and integrity—in our business, our products, and our relationships.
