Job Description

Rogers Group, Inc., headquartered in Nashville, is a privately held aggregates and asphalt highway construction company operating in 13 states with over 3,500 employees. RGI, established in 1908, has the distinction of being recognized as the largest privately held aggregate producer in the United States. Rogers Group is currently seeking an individual for the Quality Control Supervisor position in our Southern Virginia operations. The position will be based out of Roanoke, VA. The potential candidates for this role must be a proven leader, have an uncompromising emphasis on safety excellence and will have responsibilities that include but are not limited to: Oversee the quality control functions at 3 quarries, and 1 specialty products location. Responsible for implementing quality control standards and overseeing the inspection of production output to ensure compliance with customer specifications. Developing Quality Control Technicians and monitoring their work. Evaluating and recommending the resources necessary to meet our quality goals. Assist in maintaining permits with environmental agencies. A variety of other important tasks and duties as needed and assigned. Base salary range is $90,000 - $105,000 depending on experience and education.
Qualifications:
Demonstrable knowledge of Asphalt and Aggregate testing and design procedures. Proficient in blending aggregates and asphalt to specifications to conform to VDOT requirements. Demonstrated ability to work with senior management to accelerate the improvement and differentiation of existing products. Proven ability to supervise, train, and develop Quality Control Technicians. Bachelor's degree in Construction Technology or related field of study preferred. An Associate's degree and/or 3-5 years of direct industry experience will be considered. 3-5 years of experience dealing with aggregates and asphalt required. 3+ years of experience managing Quality Control labs and overseeing multiple facilities is preferred.
