This role acts as a liaison between Operators and Operations Management to ensure product quality and process consistency. Essential Duties and Responsibilities will include the following: Duties may be modified, or additional duties assigned.
  • Review and cross-check daily QC activities, including testing, documentation and retained samples.
  • Review and maintain quality records, including in-process testing, changeover checklists, Lot code verifications, screen damage reports, and non-conformance reports.
  • Assist in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes.
  • Assist with maintaining departmental Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions for Production/Operations
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and facilitating audit activities.
  • Monitor and report on quality metrics and trends for proactive process improvement
  • Train and support Operators on procedures, standards, and best practices.
  • Maintain all laboratory equipment and calibration/certification records
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and implement process improvements.
  • Assist with Environmental Compliance activities
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • SafetyChain Superuser with continual effort towards paperless production.
  • Serve as QA backup
Qualifications:
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in a science, engineering, or quality-related field preferred, or 1-3 years of experience in a quality control or assurance role, preferably in a manufacturing FSMA regulated facility
  • Strong understanding of quality systems, inspection techniques, and documentation practices.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, SFSF, or other relevant quality standards.
  • Excellent written and communication skills with the ability to facilitate tough conversations
  • Strong Microsoft Suite skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Comfortable using ERP systems, QMS software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with statistical process control (SPC) or quality data analysis.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Internal auditing experience or certification.
PCQI Training Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
Office and plant environment with some work outdoors, stair climbing and walking on uneven surfaces. Some travel by car and airplane is required. Must be able to work in a dusty and noisy environment. Expected Outcomes by 90 Days Fully proficient in GLC's quality systems, SafetyChain, and quality documentation. Independently coordinates daily quality control activities with minimal supervision. Supports internal and external audits with confidence. Serves as a trusted resource for operators and production leadership. Maintains accurate quality records and regulatory compliance. Identifies and implements at least one continuous improvement initiative. Actively monitors quality KPIs and communicates trends to management. Demonstrates GLC's GOLD+ Core Values while fostering a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.

From $26.00 per hour
