- _•If interested and qualified please apply and contact Jordyn at 843/972/1884_•Job Description•The Quality Inspector performs detailed inspections on commercial aircraft, parts, and components to ensure full compliance with FAA standards and regulations.
This role supports two key programs: a storage and disassembly program for aging commercial aircraft, where parts are harvested for maintenance and resale, and phase maintenance activities on military KC-135 aircraft.
- Responsibilities
- + Perform thorough quality inspections on commercial airline aircraft, parts, and components in accordance with FAA standards and regulatory requirements.
+ Inspect commercial fixed-wing aircraft from major manufacturers such as Boeing and Airbus to verify airworthiness and compliance with quality control procedures.
+ Conduct detailed aircraft inspections as part of a storage program for aging commercial aircraft, focusing on disassembly and part harvesting.
+ Verify the condition, traceability, and documentation of harvested parts to ensure they meet quality assurance and maintenance program requirements.
+ Support phase maintenance inspections on KC-135 aircraft for the Air Force Reserves, ensuring all work meets established quality and safety standards.
+ Apply A&P knowledge to assess maintenance work, confirm proper repairs, and identify any discrepancies or nonconformities.
+ Document inspection results accurately, including findings, corrective actions, and verification of completed work.
+ Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and ensure timely completion of inspection activities.
+ Follow established quality control and quality assurance processes, contributing to continuous improvement of inspection procedures.
+ Maintain compliance with all applicable FAA regulations, internal policies, and industry best practices during all inspection activities.
- Essential Skills
- + Minimum 5+ years of aircraft maintenance experience.
+ At least 2+ years of quality inspection experience with commercial fixed-wing aircraft.
+ Hands-on experience with aircraft inspection and quality control in a regulated aviation environment.
+ Strong understanding of FAA standards, regulations, and documentation requirements.
+ Experience working with commercial aircraft platforms, including Boeing and Airbus.
+ Proficiency in quality inspection, quality control, and quality assurance processes within aviation.
+ Ability to interpret maintenance manuals, technical drawings, and inspection criteria for aircraft and components.
+ Attention to detail and strong analytical skills for identifying defects, discrepancies, and compliance issues.
+ Effective communication skills to document findings and collaborate with maintenance and operations teams.
- Additional Skills & Qualifications
- + A&P training or experience working in roles that apply Airframe and Powerplant knowledge.
+ Experience supporting aircraft storage, disassembly, and part harvesting programs.
+ Familiarity with commercial airline maintenance programs and part sales environments.
+ Experience with military aircraft, particularly KC-135, in a maintenance or inspection capacity.
+ Understanding of both commercial and military aviation quality standards and practices.
+ Ability to work independently in a fast-paced hangar environment while managing multiple inspection tasks.

- Work Environment
- Work is performed in an aircraft hangar environment, focusing on commercial and military aircraft and their components.
The position operates on a day shift schedule, typically from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. You will work around active maintenance operations, aircraft disassembly, and part harvesting activities, using standard aviation tools, inspection equipment, and documentation systems in a structured and safety-conscious setting.

- Pay and Benefits
- The pay range for this position is $38.
00 - $38.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
