Hours:
- 2nd shift 3:30pm-12am Monday-Friday
Compensation:
- Pay $14.00/hr Duties include:
- Perform 100% visual inspection on finished products (manual assemblies and overmolded parts), verifying conformance to the Engineering Drawing and Master Sample.
- Identify and reject defects across all manufacturing processes: o
Manual Assembly:
Crimping errors (visible strands, insulation trapped), soldering issues (cold joints, excess solder), assembly errors (pin-out order, label placement), and dimensional variances. oOvermolding:
Flash, short shots, sink marks, knit lines, burn marks, and adhesion issues.- Verify functional requirements: o Perform "Push-Pull" tests on manual housings.
Data Recording & Feedback:
- Log all accepted and rejected quantities by defect type on the Daily Sort Log.
Immediate Feedback Loop:
Immediately notify the Department Lead or Machine Operator if a repeating defect (e.g., 3 in a row) is found to prevent further scrap.- Monitor output for process drift (e.
Packaging & Staging:
- Ensure finished goods are packed neatly according to specific packaging instructions
- Apply the "QA Passed" stamp or label to the final box.
- Segregate non-conforming parts into Red "Reject" Bins.
Authority:
- Authority to stop the flow of product if a recurring quality issue is detected.
- Authority to reject any product that does not match the Engineering Drawing or Master Sample, regardless of urgency. Required experience:
- High school diploma and trade school.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience.
- Previous assembly or other type of machinery operation is a plus, but the company will train.
