Summary Kömmerling USA, part of the profine Group, is seeking a Quality Technician to join our Quality Department. In this role, you will be responsible for hands-on product assurance assessments of components and finished goods produced in Extrusion, Lamination, Foiling, and Sheets. You will ensure all products meet company quality standards, proactively identify root causes of nonconformities, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Conduct quality checks throughout the fabrication process to ensure adherence to standards. Identify and separate conforming and non-conforming parts. Make decisions on accepting, reworking, or rejecting non-conforming material. Inspect manufactured items against assurance checklists. Take part in complaint and remake investigations. Support corrective actions with process owners and participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and managers regarding nonconformities. Assist in correcting nonconformities and minor product repairs to ensure timely resolution. Maintain a clean and safe work area while complying with company policies and procedures. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred; technical training or on-the-job experience considered. Previous experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Inspection role within manufacturing. Strong understanding of quality systems, tools, and dimensional measurements. Ability to interpret technical drawings and use measuring devices (e.g., thickness gauges, tape measures). Good attention to detail and a methodical approach to work. Strong communication skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Physically capable of manual handling, including lifting and loading up to 50 lbs. Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and work under pressure. Work Environment Manufacturing/production facility setting. Requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, and climbing. Frequent lifting/moving of items over 50 lbs. Exposure to extreme temperatures or humidity at times.
