Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting parts, verifying compliance with drawings and customer specifications, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for quality, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments to ensure our products meet the highest standards. Responsibilities Inspect parts to verify they meet engineering drawings and customer specifications. Investigate defects to identify root causes and support problem-solving efforts. Monitor containment activities, including sorting, rework, and corrective actions to address quality issues. Complete daily process and product audits to ensure ongoing compliance with quality standards. Track quality performance metrics such as defects, PPM (parts per million), scrap rates, and other relevant data. Prepare detailed quality reports, inspection records, and responses for customer inquiries. Support corrective action activities using methodologies such as 8D reports and 5-Why analysis. Verify weld quality, dimensions, torque specifications, appearance, and fitment of parts. Maintain control of inspection processes and documentation to ensure consistency and traceability. Skills Strong attention to detail with excellent inspection skills. Knowledge of quality tools and methodologies such as root cause analysis, 8D reports, 5-Why analysis. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and customer specifications accurately. Experience with process audits, defect tracking, and quality data analysis. Good communication skills for preparing reports and collaborating with team members. Proficiency in maintaining documentation related to inspections and quality performance metrics. Ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining a focus on continuous improvement.
