Job Summary Follows policies, procedures, and methods to evaluate and improve the quality of products, materials, components and/or operations | Follows and/ or develops, assures and maintains the quality of products and processes through standard procedures & systems (e.g., ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14000 & AS9100 standards), quality audits/ review process, etc. Responsibilities are within the Quality Assurance Methods Function as a generalist or in a combination of Disciplines Impact of the Role General Profile Requires working knowledge and experience in own job discipline and broadens capabilities Continues to build knowledge of the company, processes and customers Performs a range of assignments related to job discipline Uses prescribed guidelines or policies in analyzing situations Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction Consistent exercise of discretion & judgment Essential Functions Prepares and implements Quality Assurance policies, procedures & review cycles Maintains and updates internal audit programs and required audit schedules Participates in audits and creates audit reports Evaluates audit findings and aids in the implementation of appropriate corrective actions Maintains and improves Quality Management System and generate reports as needed Creates, updates & leads Quality training as needed May administer the material review boards & database May also lead or support various projects as assigned Required Qualifications Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 2-4 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Preferred Qualifications Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's Degree
Discipline/Major:
Quality Assurance or other related degree preferred Knowledge, skills & abilities: Batch Testing. Inspection. Nondestructive Testing. Product QA. Quality Assurance Process. Quality Improvement. Quality Inspection. Quality Management System (QMS). Physical Requirements Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time. Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities. May need to stand for long periods of time. Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery. May be requested to work a different shift. This position is Safety-Sensitive.
