Senior Level Opportunity Summary This role sits at the center of quality for a precision manufacturing operation supplying close-tolerance die cast components to aerospace and other high-precision industries, where every part has to meet exacting dimensional standards before it reaches the customer. As the top technical authority in the quality organization, you'll shape how inspection is done rather than simply carrying it out, while mentoring the next generation of inspection talent. It's a role built for a seasoned quality professional ready to take on real technical ownership and leadership visibility. Responsibilities Lead complex dimensional, visual, and functional inspections of precision components using CMMs, optical measurement systems, laser scanners, and other advanced metrology equipment. Serve as the primary technical resource for interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T requirements, and customer specifications. Lead First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR), PPAP submissions, and capability studies in support of customer validation requirements. Investigate complex quality issues and facilitate root cause analysis using 8D, 5 Why, and Fishbone methodologies to drive effective corrective action. Mentor and train Inspectors I-III on inspection techniques, metrology, blueprint reading, and GD&T. Qualifications Required High school diploma or GED, plus 8-10+ years of progressive quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment, including die casting, machining, automotive, aerospace, or precision manufacturing operations. Advanced proficiency with CMMs and precision metrology equipment. Demonstrated experience leading quality investigations and corrective action activities. Preferred Associate degree in Quality, Manufacturing Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related field. ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI), Certified Quality Technician (CQT), or similar certification. Experience supporting PPAP, APQP, MSA, and SPC programs.
