, a provider to Fortune 500 companies in the aerospace, military, automotive and sports recreation industries, seeks qualified candidate for the position of Quality Inspector II.
About the job:
Shift:
10:00am
  • 6:30pm Perform first article, in process and final inspections using inspection tools, micrometers, calipers, comparators, drop gages, go / no gages, overlays, eye loops, microscopes, scale and other necessary equipment on in-process and finished products.
Adheres to all company procedures and quality requirements At times, employees will be asked to perform duties outside their regular duties in the best interest of the company, including but not limited to, performing inventory, shop clean up, shop improvements or other various tasks as needed. Steel toed boots / safety glasses required
Qualifications:
Minimum 1-3 years experience Ability to conduct receiving inspections on raw material. Ability to conduct first article, in-process, and final inspections using inspection tools micrometers, calipers, comparators, drop gages, go / no gages, overlays, eye loops, microscopes, scale and other necessary equipment on in-process and finished products. Ability to read part drawings and complete inspection reports Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail, regulations, and safety procedures Competency with basic arithmetic operations. Organizational skills, initiative, and ability to work well independently Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Preferred Skills (not required): Metallurgical analysis
  • prepare mounts and perform evaluation Hardness testing
  • conduct Rockwell, Vickers, and Knoop testing Tensile testing
