Job Description

Visual Inspector Consolidated Precision Products seeks a Visual Inspector to evaluate aerospace and industrial castings and machined components for defects, dimensional accuracy, and finish. You will read drawings and work instructions, use gauges and basic measurement tools, document results in quality systems, and collaborate with production to contain nonconforming product. CPP offers hands-on exposure to advanced casting and machining technologies, strong focus on safety and quality, cross-plant collaboration, and growth through continuous improvement initiatives and technical training in a high-precision manufacturing environment. Perform detailed visual inspection of cast and machined aerospace/industrial components for defects and surface conditions Verify dimensional features using basic gauges and measurement tools per drawings and specifications Interpret blueprints, work instructions, and quality standards to determine acceptance criteria Identify, classify, and document nonconformances in quality and production systems Tag, segregate, and communicate disposition needs for nonconforming product to quality and production teams Maintain accurate inspection records, logs, and traceability documentation Follow established safety, 5S, and quality procedures in a manufacturing environment Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality to support root cause and corrective actions Participate in training and continuous improvement activities to enhance inspection accuracy and efficiency Visual inspection Dimensional inspection tools Defect identification Reading engineering drawings Aerospace/industrial quality standards Documentation and recordkeeping Root cause awareness Safety procedures Basic computer skills Communication with production teams ASQ Visual Inspection certification IPC or AWS visual inspection training
