• Job Title: Quality Control Technician

• We are seeking a highly motivated Quality Control Technician who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment.

In this role, you will learn multiple tasks within the Operations group, support the laser cutting process, and focus on post-processing activities, including cleaning and inspecting lifesaving medical device components. You will collaborate closely with the team to ensure product quality, contribute ideas to improve processes, and demonstrate a strong work ethic and willingness to learn every step of the production workflow.

• Responsibilities
• + Work primarily in post-processing to clean medical device components using acid pickling solutions and other approved chemicals.

+ Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including smock, goggles, and gloves, while handling chemicals and cleaning parts.

+ Support the laser cutting process by helping to set up and run state-of-the-art laser cutting systems when needed.

+ Clean and inspect lifesaving medical device components to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.

+ Perform final quality control inspection on components after cleaning, verifying that all specifications have been met.

+ Master all production processes over time and proactively suggest creative ways to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.

+ Participate in startup and shutdown procedures for facilities equipment as a member of the operations team.

+ Train other employees in production processes or equipment usage when requested by a supervisor.

+ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company policies and good safe labor practices.

+ Follow instructions from supervisors and production management, adhering to all company policies and procedures.

+ Conduct yourself in a professional and appropriate manner at all times and maintain a high standard of conduct and job performance.

+ Use basic math skills, including conversions from millimeters to centimeters, during measurement and inspection tasks.

+ Perform data entry and use computer systems to record inspection results and production information.

+ Operate spot welding equipment, hand tools, power tools, and other production equipment as needed.

+ Use calipers, microscopes, and other inspection equipment to perform detailed quality checks.

+ Contribute to a positive team environment that emphasizes teamwork, respect, professional growth, and having fun.

• Essential Skills
• + Comfort working with chemicals and following safety procedures when using acid pickling solutions and other cleaning agents.

+ Ability to wear and properly use personal protective equipment such as smocks, goggles, and gloves.

+ Basic math skills, including performing conversions from millimeters to centimeters.

+ Ability to use calipers, microscopes, and other inspection tools for precise measurement and quality control.

+ General machine operating skills within a production or manufacturing environment.

+ Experience or aptitude in quality control and inspection of parts.

+ Computer literacy for data entry and basic use of production or quality systems.

+ Ability to follow written and verbal instructions from supervisors and production managers.

+ Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn all steps of the process and take on different responsibilities.

+ Ability to maintain a clean and safe work area and follow good safe labor practices.

+ Professional conduct and reliability in maintaining high standards of job performance.

• Additional Skills & Qualifications
• + High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).

+ Previous experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent (preferred).

+ Experience with inspection equipment or equivalent (preferred).

+ Experience with spot welding, hand tools, power tools, and laser equipment is a plus.

+ Prior exposure to QC processes and machine operations is beneficial.

+ Openness to cross-training in all stations within the Operations group.

• Work Environment
• This position is based in a clean manufacturing environment focused on producing high-precision medical device components.

You will work with state-of-the-art laser cutting systems, inspection equipment such as calipers and microscopes, and chemical cleaning processes including acid pickling solutions. Personal protective equipment, including smocks, goggles, and gloves, is required when working with chemicals and during certain production tasks. The role operates on two shifts: first shift runs from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and second shift (swing shift) runs from 2:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The workplace promotes safety, cleanliness, and professionalism while maintaining a collaborative and supportive atmosphere.

• This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Davis, CA.
• Pay and Benefits
• The pay range for this position is $20.

00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
