On-site Local Candidates Only About the Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector II to join a manufacturing team in El Cajon, CA. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented quality professional with hands-on electrical inspection and testing experience who enjoys working with cable assemblies, connectors, components, and precision-manufactured products. In this role, you will play an important part in ensuring that incoming materials and finished products meet established quality, customer, and manufacturing requirements. Electrical Inspection Experience is required for this position. What You'll Do As a Quality Control Inspector II, you will perform both Receiving Inspection and Final Inspection , working closely with Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Manufacturing teams.

Receiving Inspection:

Inspect incoming materials such as machined components, metal shells, connectors, wire reels, cable spools, and other manufacturing components. Perform electrical testing of incoming cable, wire, and other electrically testable components using approved procedures. Conduct visual inspections and verify quantities against purchase orders and shipping documentation. Review supplier documentation, including Certificates of Conformance (CoC), material certifications, test reports, and other quality records. Identify, document, and segregate nonconforming materials according to established quality procedures. Verify incoming materials meet requirements before being released to production.

Final Inspection:

Inspect finished cable and connector products manufactured in-house. Perform inspections of terminated/soldered cable assemblies, molded assemblies, pressure-tested assemblies, connectors, machined metal shells, and related components. Perform electrical and dimensional inspections according to inspection plans, test reports, drawings, and acceptance criteria. Conduct visual inspections based on customer specifications, purchase orders, engineering drawings, and applicable quality standards. Review production and inspection documentation for accuracy, completeness, and traceability. Document inspection results and prepare quality inspection records and reports. Support investigations involving inspection issues and recommend corrective actions when needed. Sort materials and clearly identify defects to support repair, rework, or disposition activities. Scan and organize quality documentation in accordance with record-retention requirements. Assist the Quality Assurance team with assigned quality-related projects and activities. Equipment You'll Use You may work with a variety of calibrated inspection and testing equipment, including: HIPOT testers Megohmmeters (Megger) Multimeters Digital calipers Tape measures Other dimensional measurement and electrical testing equipment

What We're Looking For Required:

High school diploma or equivalent. 2+ years of relevant manufacturing inspection or quality control experience. Hands-on electrical inspection/testing experience is required. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, specifications, and customer requirements. Strong attention to detail and commitment to inspection accuracy. Ability to work independently within established quality procedures. Basic computer skills. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.

Preferred:

Experience with cable assemblies and connectors. Experience performing electrical testing in a manufacturing environment. Experience working with precision-tolerance components. Familiarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620, J-STD, or similar industry quality standards. Experience using calibrated electrical and dimensional inspection equipment.
