Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated Inspector Level 1 for a spring manufacturing company in El Monte. This role is essential in maintaining the highest standards of product quality, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The position is temp-to-hire and pay rate is $18 to $24 per hour DOE. Position Overview Tests and inspects products at various stages of the production process to ensure the quality of the product is maintained throughout. Provides input on day-to-day issues and works with manufacturing to resolve discrepancies. Primary Job Functions Understand & follow procedures related to the Quality department Perform visual, dimensional and functional inspection per drawings and specifications Final & In-process Inspection Conduct inspections using various AQL sampling tables Mechanical inspection of parts Load testing parts Documentation of results Complete FAIRs per AS9102 requirements (including but not limited to bubble drawings) Upload FAIRs in Net Inspect or as otherwise instructed Present suspect issues to management and work together to resolve issues Follow safety and cleanliness rules within the department in accordance with 6S standards Department meetings Present topics for discussion. Communicate and give input regarding issues within the department. Secondary Job Functions Receiving Inspection Quality review of purchase orders for accuracy. Inspection of received product. Review of supplier certifications. First Piece Inspection Inspection of first piece parts Documentation of first piece results Communicate with manufacturing to resolve issues. Participate in Continuous Improvements activities Interact with internal and external auditors as required Basic Requirements
- Must be a US Person
- Education - High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience related to mechanical inspection and/or load testing
Computer Skills:
Familiar with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook- Able to meet vision requirements of quality department (with or without corrective lenses)
- Available to work 40+ hours of work per week. o Monday - Friday, 8 hours per day o Overtime expected depending on production needs
- Familiar with using micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators
