Job Description

Volt is Hiring! Volt is immediately hiring for a Quality Inspector in Gardena, CA. As Quality Inspector, you will: Interpret engineering drawings, inspection procedures, work orders, and setup instructions. Perform visual and dimensional inspections of production parts, subassemblies, assemblies, and completed systems. Use a variety of hand tools, including Screwdrivers, Wrenches and Pliers. Use measuring and inspection equipment. Perform measurements and mathematical calculations to verify dimensions and tolerances. Set up surface plates, tables, and other inspection equipment as required. Inspect parts for quality, cleanliness, workmanship, gauge, hardness, and close-tolerance dimensions. Identify dimensional deviations and determine whether parts meet specifications. Approve acceptable parts and reject non-conforming parts. Verify when rework or re-operation is required. Maintain accurate inspection records, paperwork, and documentation. Issue, control, and perform minor repairs to inspection stamps. Maintain proper identification and traceability of inspected parts. Assist with inventory control and maintain accurate records of materials and parts. Communicate quality issues and discrepancies to appropriate personnel. Follow established safety, quality, and inspection procedures. This is a full-time, temp to hire opportunity!
Schedule:
Monday
  • Friday
  • 10:45 pm to 5:15am with flexability to work overtime and weekends
  • The shift pays 8 hours.
The ideal candidate will have:
Familiarity with basic hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, and pliers. Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, rulers, scales, or tape measures. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, work orders, and inspection instructions. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Basic mathematical skills and ability to perform dimensional calculations. Ability to document inspection results accurately. Previous Quality Control or Quality Inspector experience. Experience with precision measuring instruments. Experience inspecting close-tolerance parts. Experience with inventory control or maintaining inventory records. Aerospace, machining, or precision manufacturing experience is a plus. Familiarity with non-conforming material, rework, and inspection documentation.
Pay Rate:
$23.00 per hour
  • Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
