Foothill Ranch, CA -Onsite Role Job Summary:
The Assembly Inspector is responsible for inspecting products at each phase of the assembly process to ensure quality standards are met before moving to the next production step. This role helps prevent defects early, ensuring a high-quality final product that meets customer specifications.Duties and Responsibilities:
Inspect assemblies at various stages to verify conformance with engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions. Perform visual and functional checks to detect defects, misalignments, or incomplete assemblies. Use measuring tools and gauges as needed to verify dimensional accuracy. Document inspection results clearly and report any non-conformances or deviations to supervisors or engineering teams. Work closely with production teams to communicate inspection findings and recommend corrective actions. Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards throughout the inspection process. Maintain clean and organized work areas, following company and regulatory standards. Perform other duties as assigned to support department and company goals.Requirements and Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Basic computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and data entry. Experience in manufacturing or assembly inspection is preferred but not required. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions. Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Familiarity with quality standards (ISO, AS9100, IPC-A-610) is a plus but not mandatory.Preferred Qualifications:
Must have a strong attention to detail Must be mechanically inclined Ability to stand or walk for extended periods (up to 8-10 hours per shift) and perform repetitive tasks with manual dexterity. Experience in manufacturing, production, or quality inspection (preferred) Frequent bending, reaching, and handling of small parts and tools. Good visual acuity for detailed inspections. Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs occasionally, using proper lifting techniques. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
