Job Description
Full Steam Staffing is hiring QA Technicians for a food manufacturing facility in Merced, CA. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and be comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment. This site operates 7 days a week during peak season, so candidates must be available to work varying schedules, including weekends. Days off will vary.
Conduct routine food chemistry testing and physical measurements, including:pH testingMagnet monitoringMoisture/solids testingOrganoleptic evaluationsIdentify and report non-conforming products to the Production Lead and/or Supervisor.
Place non-conforming products on hold as needed.
Monitor experiments, make observations, and calculate and record results.
Maintain proper housekeeping and cleanliness standards.
Follow GMP and HACCP guidelines and maintain awareness of food safety and quality requirements.
Use basic computer programs and tablets to document information and complete work.
Provide coverage for the Microbiologist and Research & Development team as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous manufacturing, laboratory, or quality experience preferred.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Basic math and computer skills.
Comfortable using a tablet and computer.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.
Self-motivated and able to work independently.
Professional attitude and strong attendance.
Good time-management skills.
Ability to make sound decisions while maintaining a strong focus on quality, safety, and security.
