$216,700-$255,000/year Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Area Safety & Quality Officer to provide strategic leadership across clinical quality, patient safety, risk management, infection prevention, and regulatory compliance for two hospital facilities. The role will lead quality improvement initiatives, monitor clinical performance, ensure regulatory readiness, and partner with medical and executive leadership to improve patient outcomes and reduce clinical risk. Key Responsibilities Lead clinical quality, patient safety, and performance improvement programs across assigned facilities. Oversee regulatory compliance, accreditation, licensing, audits, and continuous survey readiness. Monitor quality metrics and implement evidence-based improvement initiatives. Lead patient safety programs, significant event management, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning. Oversee infection prevention, surveillance, outbreak management, and related safety initiatives. Direct clinical risk management activities and initiatives to reduce medical errors and care delivery risks. Partner with physicians and leadership on peer review and practitioner performance improvement. Analyze healthcare data, trends, patient outcomes, complaints, and quality indicators to identify improvement opportunities. Develop and maintain quality management policies, procedures, systems, and reporting standards. Lead and develop cross-functional teams while promoting continuous improvement and accountability. Minimum Qualifications 10+ years of experience in clinical and management roles within a health plan, hospital, or complex healthcare system. 8+ years of experience in a clinical setting, healthcare administration, or related field. 9+ years of leadership experience. Master's degree in Business, Healthcare, Public Administration, or a related field , with at least 7 years of healthcare experience . 4+ years of experience managing operational or project budgets. 6+ years of experience working with databases and spreadsheets. 4+ years of experience delivering training programs. Strong knowledge of clinical quality, patient safety, risk management, infection prevention, regulatory compliance, and performance improvement . Professional Healthcare Quality certification required within 24 months of hire.
