Our associates are expert quality assurance professionals with extensive experience and local expertise, enabling us to represent our clients on-demand and with greater speed and efficiency than our competitors We're hiring for a Quality Cable & Harness Inspector position in Southern California. Primarily in the LA and OC areas. The schedule is on first shift, full-time, 4-5 days per week on an as-needed basis. If you have a passion for cable harnesses and a keen eye for quality, this could be the perfect opportunity for you! Key Responsibilities Perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections at one or more client suppliers Ensure products meet quality and specification standards Verify safety wire orientation, correct turns, and pigtails as per specifications Confirm shipping documentation is legible and accurate (part number, serial number, etc.) Check documentation packages to industry standards and classify defects Interpret manufacturing drawings and identifying non-conformances Periodically verify accuracy and ensure productivity to meet production schedules Maintain equipment and keep the work area organized Required Qualifications Knowledge of cable and harness assembly methods Familiar with
IPC-A-620
standards Familiar with
IPC-A-610
standards Minimum 3 years of experience as a Cable and Harness Inspector/Assembler in electronic manufacturing or related fields Ability to read schematics, assembly drawings, and identify wiring components Proficient in documenting Certificates of Conformance (COC) Strong organizational, communication, and software adaptation skills Preferred Qualifications Certified or previously certified in IPC-A-620 or
IPC-A-610
Diploma or GED from an accredited high school or technical school; college degree in engineering Knowledge of electronic contract manufacturing and LEAN manufacturing
Preferred:
5 years of experience, with 2 years as a Cable and Harness Inspector 50% hourly rate for any travel time ("p2p") Mileage reimbursement at the US gov't rate ($0.72 per mile driven). Untaxed.
