Quality Supervisor FLSA:
Non-exempt SUMMARY The quality inspector inspects, tests, and analyzes products to ensure they meet quality and safety standards. Their duties include examining raw materials and finished goods, documenting results, identifying and reporting product defects. This role is crucial for supporting product throughput, customer demand and product safety throughout the process of Inspection.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under direction of the Quality Supervisor the duties of this position include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed and are not limited to following:
Perform Inspection and Testing:
Conduct first article and final inspections of product using up to but not limited to, calipers, pi-tapes, optical comparator, protractors, rulers, visual inspection and other relative inspection tooling
Ensure Compliance:
Ensure all parts and processes comply with customer standards and aerospace regulations of
AS9100, AS13100, ITAR
Documentation and Reporting:
Accurately review and document inspection results, maintain quality records and prepare reports for quality engineers. Generate an (NCR) where nonconformances are identified.
Conduct Quality Tests:
Where referenced, perform quality control tests on materials and finished products using
XRF Identify and Communicate Issues:
Communicate product defects to Quality Lead, Engineering. Proactive collaboration
Maintain Equipment and Work Area:
Ensure that testing equipment is properly calibrated and in good working order prior to and during usage. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Participating in
Audits:
Able to communicate with Auditors when asked questions relating to the Quality process. Adhere to
Procedures:
Follow System Procedure (S.P.) and Operations Manual (O.M.) to ensure consistency and reduction of human error. Understand and follow Hi Tech Honeycomb' s Quality Policy, System Procedures (S.P.) and Operation Manuals (O.M.) as well as Safety Procedures and Usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where applicable
Process Interaction:
Providing continuous review and recommendations for improvement of processes related to status reporting and quality assurance. Develop collaboration relationships between departments.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE A
high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Manufacturing experience is desired. Ability to measure with a caliper, measuring angle with protractor and use inspection gauges is required. (Full list outlined on Quality Training Matrix)
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Basic math skills required
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Basic English comprehension, reading and writing is required.
REASONING ABILITY
This individual must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple instructions; the ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
This individual must be able to read standard Traveler form and supplemental documents to perform regular duties as required of this and sequential duties and positions. Ability to utilize specialized tools to measure and confirm tolerances is required. Good visual acuity, and attention to detail is required
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The employee is frequently required to walk and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
