$28 - $38 / hr Job Description Quality Control Inspector II (QI) Halcyon Manufacturing, Inc. Halcyon Manufacturing is a modern contract manufacturing company specializing in precision-machined components. We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector II (QI) to support daily inspection operations in a fast-paced, high-mix prototyping environment. This role is responsible for executing inspections efficiently and accurately while supporting QC throughput. You will work under the direction of the QC Lead (QCL) and Quality Engineering (QE) team. This is a hands-on execution role, focused on: Performing inspections using manual tools and standard methods Following established inspection plans Escalating issues or uncertainties to the QCL for final verification This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, reliable, and capable of working at speed without compromising quality. Job Duties (But not limited to): Perform in-process (IPC) and final inspections of machined parts Inspect parts using: Calipers Micrometers Height gages Pin gages CMM Ziess Other standard inspection tools Verify parts meet blueprint specifications and GD&T requirements Follow inspection plans and instructions provided by QE/QCL Accurately record inspection results in ERP and QMS systems Maintain clean and organized inspection records Communicate issues clearly and escalate any uncertainty or discrepancies to QCL Support overall QC department throughput and efficiency
Job Requirements:
Minimum 3 years in mechanical QC inspection in a precision machining environment Ability to: Read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T Perform accurate inspections using manual tools and CMM Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment Important Role Clarification This role is responsible for execution of inspection tasks All final verification and complex decisions are handled by the QC Lead (QCL) Inspectors are expected to escalate issues, not resolve them independently Desired Experience Experience in CNC prototype or production manufacturing environments Familiarity with
AS9100 / ISO9001
environments Experience using ERP/QMS systems Exposure to CMM operation (not required)
