Quality Control Technician North American Fire Hose - 2.4 Santa Maria, CA Job Details Full-time $20 - $30 an hour 13 hours ago Benefits Profit sharing Health insurance 401(k) Paid time off Referral program Qualifications Report writing Spreadsheets Writing skills Word embeddings Filing Dimensional measurements Bachelor's degree Productivity software Full Job Description Quality Control Technician North American Fire Hose (NAFH), a worldwide leader in the manufacturing of fire hoses, has an opening for a Quality Control Supervisor at our main office located in Santa Maria.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform inspections of raw materials, purchased parts, in-process parts and finished products according to NAFH criteria using standard physical, mechanical and/ or electrical measurements. Work with field inspectors from UL and FM. Accurately document the results of the inspections and testing. Maintain all controlled document files and test records in a timely and accurate manner. Inspect all areas of manufacturing to ensure quality standards are met. • Evaluate Customer Returns and report results. Coordinate calibration of all test equipment and fixtures. Participate in the construction and/or revision of specs for cost effectiveness. Assist in the writing and updating inspection procedures and checklists. Evaluate problems and make initial recommendations for possible corrective action. Report unusual circumstances or problems to Production Manager. Maintain a safe, well organized and clean work environment. Perform other duties as assigned.
Education, Training, Skills and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree preferred. Must have good written and verbal communication skills. Quality Control experience is preferred, but not required. Demonstrate ability to multi-task and excel in a highly timeline driven fast-paced environment. Working knowledge of measurement instruments. General proficiency of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time, and occasionally lift up to 80 lb.
