Full Job Description Location:
This position will be at our Santa Paula, CA location until September where operations will be moving to Valencia, CA. Ideal candidate will be located in Santa Paula, Fillmore, or Valencia area.
Purpose:
The primary function of this position is to provide general assistance within the Quality department. This includes Ownership and maintenance of the RMA system, ownership and maintenance of the calibration system, incoming and in-process inspection of flat glass, internal audit, failure investigation, and some problem solving activity.
Essential Duties and Functions:
Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following. Other related duties may be assigned as deemed necessary by supervisor. Performs testing and inspection, which includes proficiency in the use of all required quality tools and equipment Visually inspect/audit raw and finished product to ensure conformance to specifications Document non-conformances and take action as required Utilize the CAPA system to initiate action to prevent the recurrence of any non-conformances related to product, process, and quality systems. Control further processing or delivery of non-conforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected Perform Incoming Inspections on production materials per documented procedures. Own and maintain the calibration system Own and maintain the RMA system Adhere to all safety and housekeeping standards Ensure compliance to the Company's Quality Management System and ISO9001 for all applicable areas of responsibility
Non-Essential Duties and Functions:
Provide training to other Quality personnel or operations employees as assigned
Competency:
Must speak Spanish and English fluently Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications Knowledge of Quality tools/equipment, principles, and methodologies Detail oriented and can accurately review data and document problem resolutions Ability to read, understand and follow detailed instructions that involve multiple steps and quality equipment Working knowledge of ISO9001 standards for quality control Knowledge of root cause analysis and corrective action Working knowledge of customer requirements and expectations Strong team player who is able to interface with a variety of groups

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week first shift. Overtime may be required.

Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 2 years previous Quality experience in a manufacturing environment

Must be able to build important relationships with floor personnel and utilize these relationships for information gathering and problem solving

The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes. Conditions:
PPE requirements: Steel-toed shoes and safety glasses required when in production floor as a minimum. Other PPE may be required depending on area and specific function needs.
