Quality Technician II Job Description The Quality Technician II is responsible for performing detailed inspections of aerospace parts, sub-assemblies, and finished products to ensure conformance with engineering drawings, customer specifications, and quality requirements. This role supports receiving, in-process, and final inspections and collaborates closely with Quality, Engineering, and Production teams to maintain compliance and product quality. Responsibilities Perform visual and dimensional inspections of parts, assemblies, and raw materials. Use precision measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, and related inspection equipment. Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and inspection requirements. Document inspection results, maintain inspection records, and support part acceptance or rejection. Identify nonconforming material and communicate findings to the Quality team. Support first article, in-process, and final inspections as needed. Maintain compliance with company quality procedures and aerospace standards. Essential Skills 4-7 years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong proficiency in blueprint reading and use of inspection tools. Experience in aerospace or regulated industry. Eligibility to work with controlled products in an ITAR environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Experience inspecting aerospace or mechanically complex components. Familiarity with AS9100/ISO-based quality systems. Strong documentation and organizational skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Work Environment The position operates in an aerospace manufacturing environment. The role requires the use of precision measuring tools and visual inspection methods to verify parts meet engineering and quality standards. Attention to detail and accurate documentation are critical to maintaining compliance, traceability, and quality standards. The work is independent and requires minimal supervision. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Simi Valley, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $37.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
