Job Description
Senior Tester (Mechatronics & Robotics) (Sunnyvale, CA) | 08/25/26 Job Description Senior Tester (Mechatronics & Robotics) || Sunnyvale CA Onsite
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and test electromechanical and robotic systems.
Create and maintain engineering drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and technical documentation.
Perform prototype fabrication, assembly, integration, validation, and troubleshooting activities.
Work with motors, actuators, sensors, gear trains, and structural components to optimize system performance.
Integrate sensors and communication systems into robotic platforms.
Collaborate with electrical, embedded software, and mechanical engineering teams to ensure successful system integration.
Support schematic review, PCB interaction, power distribution validation, and firmware interface testing.
Execute system-level testing, identify defects, perform root cause analysis, and drive issue resolution.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders throughout the development and testing lifecycle.
Contribute to continuous improvement of testing methodologies, documentation, and product quality.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Electronics, or a related field.
5-6 years of experience in Mechatronics, Robotics, or Automation System Design and Testing.
Experience with robotic platforms, subsystems, mobile robots, industrial robots, or custom robotic systems.
Strong understanding of:
Mechanical design and 3D CAD tools
Electromechanical systems
Motors, actuators, sensors, and gear trains
Embedded systems and MCU-based designs
PCB interaction and power distribution systems
Experience in schematic interpretation, hardware integration, and prototyping.
Hands-on experience with system assembly, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.
