You'll inspect machined parts at receiving, in-process, and final stages, verifying they meet dimensional, visual, and customer specifications, and build toward FAI and advanced inspection work alongside senior inspectors. Key Responsibilities Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections on components, subassemblies, and integrated hardware to verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements. Inspect manufactured hardware for workmanship, configuration, dimensional accuracy, and conformance to requirements. Use standard inspection and measurement equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, thread gauges, pin gauges, and other precision measurement equipment. Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and inspection plans to determine acceptance criteria. Verify dimensional features, hardware installation, fasteners, torque requirements, surface conditions, and overall workmanship as applicable. Support production and integration activities by performing inspections throughout the manufacturing and assembly process. Identify, document, and communicate nonconformances and work cross-functionally with Operations, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams to support disposition and resolution. Support root cause analysis on nonconforming parts by helping trace where in the process a part went awry. Accurately document inspection results and maintain required quality and traceability records. Support First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102 requirements, and other inspection activities as required. Maintain inspection equipment and ensure tools are within calibration requirements prior to use. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to FOD control, contamination prevention, and applicable safety requirements. Communicate inspection status, quality concerns, and production risks to supervisors and cross-functional stakeholders. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inspection methods, workmanship, quality processes, and production efficiency. Qualifications 1-3 years of quality control or inspection experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment (AS9100 or aerospace preferred) Hands-on proficiency with calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and thread/pin gauges Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret basic GD&T Exposure to AS9102 FAI and AS9100 documentation requirements preferred Accurate, detail-oriented documentation habits Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort with tolerances and shop math Able to work independently on routine inspections and take direction on complex ones Basic computer operation and word processing skills Fluent in English Qualification Advantages (plus, but not required) Spanish fluency Experience with CMM operation and programming Experience with visual inspection system Benefits 401(k) Paid time off (PTO) On-the-job training
