Quality Assurance Technician/Production Worker A reputable food manufacturing company in the Yuba City area is hiring immediately for an experienced quality assurance technician.

Job Duties Include:

Responsible for managing HACCP, GMPs, and safety/regulatory requirements Conduct metal detector checks following HACCP and/or Food Safety Plans Conduct pre-operational and/or operational swabbing Conduct all Critical Control Point/Preventive Control Point critical limit checks as per the HACCP Conduct temperature checks and documentation Audit all finished product packaging lot code accuracy, make corrections when needed Conduct thermometer calibration as directed by quality assurance supervisor Place product on hold as per HACCP and/or Food Safety Plans when a deviation occurs and alert plant management accordingly Ensure all employees are always following GMPs Conduct scale and balance checks daily Report any food safety and quality issues to Quality Assurance supervisor and/or QA manager Responsible for reporting and taking any necessary action to prevent food safety and food quality problems from occurring Conduct weight checks and properly document Perform quality control checks at the production line (process control) Seal product trays and bags while checking products for any defects Adjust and level product at machines Repetitive scooping with 2-5 lbs. metal scoopers and weighing trays Fill hoppers and keep machines full at all times when stationed at hoppers Job Requirements include: Prior work experience in a quality control or assurance position Strong critical thinking & problem-solving ability Excellent communication skills - both written & verbal Past experience in food or manufacturing industries are preferred Ability to multi-task and prioritize

Shift:
