CMM Programmer - ZEISS /
Calypso Location:
Aurora /
Northeast Denver, CO Pay:
Up to $40 per hour, depending on experience
Job Type:
Full-time | On-site Are you an experienced CMM Programmer who knows ZEISS equipment and Calypso software ? We are hiring a hands-on CMM Programmer to support a growing precision manufacturing operation serving the aerospace, defense and other highly regulated industries . You will work in a clean, climate-controlled inspection environment with modern equipment and complex, tight-tolerance machined components. This is not just a CMM operator position. We need someone who can independently build programs, develop inspection methods, interpret complex prints and help solve quality issues on the shop floor. What You'll Be Doing Create, edit and optimize CMM programs using ZEISS Calypso Program and operate a
ZEISS CMM
Develop inspection routines for new and existing machined components Perform first article, in-process and final inspections Interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints and specifications Apply GD&T requirements when developing inspection programs Inspect tight-tolerance aerospace and precision-machined parts Select appropriate probes, alignments, datum structures and measurement strategies Complete and review First Article Inspection Reports Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records Troubleshoot dimensional issues and communicate findings clearly Work directly with machinists, manufacturing engineers and quality personnel Assist with root-cause investigations and continuous-improvement efforts Support compliance with established aerospace quality procedures What We're Looking For Previous experience as a CMM Programmer, CMM Inspector or Quality Inspector Hands-on
ZEISS CMM
programming experience Strong working knowledge of Calypso software Ability to independently program parts from engineering drawings Strong understanding of GD&T Experience inspecting precision CNC-machined components Comfortable working with tight tolerances and complex part geometry Experience with first article, in-process and final inspection Ability to use standard precision measuring equipment, including micrometers, calipers, height gauges and indicators Strong documentation, troubleshooting and communication skills Ability to work in an AS9100 or similarly regulated manufacturing environment Must be eligible to work in an ITAR-controlled facility Experience That Will Stand Out Aerospace or defense manufacturing experience AS9102 First Article Inspection experience Experience with multi-axis, 5-axis, Swiss or mill-turn components Familiarity with nonconformance reports, root-cause analysis and corrective actions Experience inspecting aluminum, stainless steel, titanium or specialty-alloy components Why This Opportunity?
