The inspection team will provide oversight of the manufacturing, testing, inspection, and release of approximately 150 kilometers of offshore seamless line pipe for a major international LNG development. This long-term assignment is expected to require multiple inspectors per shift, including an experienced Lead Inspector responsible for team coordination and overall quality oversight.

Mid-August 2026 through June 2027
Schedule:
Approximately 12 hours per day, 5-6 days per week
Staffing:
Two to three inspectors per shift
Rate:
Approximately USD $50 per hour, all-inclusive Scope of Work Inspectors will oversee the manufacture, inspection, testing, and release of approximately 150 kilometers of offshore seamless line pipe manufactured to DNV-ST-F101 and project specifications.
Key activities include:
Steelmaking and billet inspection Pipe manufacturing and heat treatment Ultrasonic and radiographic testing Dimensional inspection and product release Material traceability and documentation review Port loadout surveillance Daily and weekly reporting Identification and escalation of quality concerns A Lead Inspector may also coordinate shift coverage, review data and reports, monitor quality trends, and provide technical guidance to the inspection team.
Responsabilities:
Qualifications 5+ years of relevant line pipe, fixed equipment, steel manufacturing, or source inspection experience Strong knowledge of
DNV-ST-F101
Experience with seamless line pipe manufacturing and inspection Ability to review ITPs, specifications, test results, and quality records Strong reporting and communication skills Ability to work extended shifts and remain in Japan for the assignment duration Experience with offshore, fatigue-sensitive, or strain-based design line pipe is preferred.
