About This Role Bolder Foods is looking for a Quality Assurance Specialist to support our food safety and quality programs within our manufacturing facility. This role plays an important part in ensuring products are produced safely, consistently, and according to company standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about food safety. This position works closely with production teams to verify processes, maintain documentation, and support continuous improvement efforts. Position Summary The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for monitoring food safety and quality activities throughout production. This role supports inspections, documentation review, testing activities, GMP compliance, and food safety programs to ensure products meet established specifications and requirements. Key Responsibilities Perform quality checks and inspections of products, equipment, and production processes Verify and validate monitoring activities and critical control points for food safety and quality plans Review production documentation, including HACCP records and required quality documentation Support microbiological sampling, allergen testing, and environmental monitoring activities Assist with food safety and quality incidents, including managing QA holds when needed Monitor GMP compliance and support food safety expectations across production teams Participate in daily organoleptic evaluations and assist with food science activities as needed Maintain and support prerequisite programs, including chemical inventory, knife program, equipment calibration, and sanitation documentation Assist with glass and brittle plastic control inspections Support QA team coverage, including assisting with breaks and lunches as needed Assist with weekly review and verification of laboratory inventory Complete required training and maintain accurate documentation QualificationsRequired High school diploma or equivalent required Must be at least 18 years of age Previous quality assurance experience Ability to work in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records Basic computer skills, including experience with Excel or Google Sheets Ability to communicate effectively with production teams Preferred Bachelor's degree in food science, quality, or related field 4+ years of food manufacturing experience Experience with food safety regulations and working with regulatory agencies (FDA, USDA, SQF, OTCO, GFCO, OSHA, etc.) HACCP certification Bilingual English/Spanish or basic English proficiency Work Environment Food manufacturing facility Production floor environment Exposure to refrigerated areas, machinery, noise, and temperature changes Fast-paced, team-oriented environment Regular interaction with production and quality teams Benefits Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401(k) Paid Holidays PTO in accordance with company policy Equal Employment Opportunity Bolder Foods (The Honest Stand Ltd) participates in E-Verify and is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to creating an inclusive and respectful workplace.
