Job Description

Kamatics is seeking a CMM Programmer who creates, updates and controls CMM programs to support inspection activities and to ensure products comply with engineering specifications, quality standards and customer requirements. This role works closely with Quality and Manufacturing teams to meet production schedules through providing accurate and repeatable measurement results, diagnosing and resolving CMM related measurement issues and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within inspection processes.

Responsibilities:
Creates and updates inspection programs for CMM and the DCC-CMM to be used by members of inspection/manufacturing team to determine product conformity. Provide CMM operation instruction as required. Verifies and documents program accuracy using Kamatics internal and available industry standards. Uses the CMM and a variety of conventional and advanced inspection devices and instruments to verify dimensions to drawing specifications. Provides technical leadership/training as needed to the inspection staff. Develops and implements process improvements relating to the inspection process. Ensures that production schedules and customer requirements are met. Performs all responsibilities within productivity and quality expectations. Follows work procedures. Provides support to achieve short-term and long-term department / company goals. Maintains records, data and logs as necessary. Provides technical support as needed to resolve quality related issues. Maintains clean and safe work environment. Follows safety and environmental procedures / programs and regulations. Reports safety incidents to supervisor. Makes and documents recommendations for improvements to work processes and procedures. Contributes to 5 S programs in work area. Provides a high level of service to all internal and external customers. Contributes to positive teamwork environment. Performs other duties as assigned. Participates in training/learning other positions. Accomplishes related results as needed.
Requirements/Qualifications Education:
High School Diploma (or equivalent)
Experience:
5 years of experience in a manufacturing/quality function or demonstrates equivalent experience.

Physical Requirements:
Occasional (15-40%) lifting and moving materials up to 50 lbs.
Other:
Will be required to work overtime to meet customer needs.
