Our client in Hamden, CT is looking to add an experienced AOI Inspector to their team. In this role, you will lead inspection efforts, perform thorough visual and instrumental checks on complex PCBAs, cables, and box builds, and operate AOI machines. You will also mentor new inspectors and ensure strict adherence to IPC and QMS standards.
Key Responsibilities & Required Skills:
Perform first piece and final inspections using blueprints, BOMs, calipers, and microscopes. Apply working knowledge of
IPC-A-610, IPC
J-STD-001, IPC/WHMA-A-620, and ESD controls. Ensure compliance with AS9100D and
ISO 13485
quality systems. Train team members, document nonconformances, and drive continuous process improvements. This is a first shift position from 7am
•3:30pm Monday through friday and pays $25

No Degree RequiredResponsibilities Inspect Electronics & Assemblies:
Conduct visual and instrumental inspections of complex assemblies, PCBs, PCBAs, cables, and complete box builds.
Perform Key Inspections:
Execute first-piece and final inspections against drawings, customer criteria, and IPC requirements.
Operate Inspection Equipment:
Set up and run AOI machines, microscopes, calipers, and other measurement tools.
Verify Schematics & Components:
Read engineering drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and work instructions to identify components and verify compliance.
Document & Report:
Record accurate inspection results, status reports, and nonconformances.
Lead & Train Team:
Help train new members on quality procedures, recommend process improvements, and maintain accountability for output quality.
Ensure Standards Compliance:
Apply knowledge of IPC standards (IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, WHMA-A-620), ESD, and Quality Systems (AS9100D/ISO 13485). SkillsIPC Standards
