The Lab Technician is responsible for performing quality control testing and inspection of raw materials and finished products in a manufacturing facility. Requirements:
High school diploma (relevant college coursework preferred). Required 2 years of production or manufacturing laboratory or testing experience (Experience in a chemical laboratory is preferred). Required Ability or experience operating lab equipment devices, and accurately record, analyze, and communicate results. Required Knowledge of or experience with ASTM test specifications and ability to comprehend specification requirements. Required Knowledge of or experience with laboratory testing methods, procedures, and requirements. Required Experience with calibration equipment. Preferred. Proficiency with
Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Key Responsibilities:
Operate laboratory testing equipment and computerized/electronic devices used in quality control and technical services. Perform routine calibration of laboratory instruments following documented procedures. Conduct inspections and testing on in-process and finished products. Record, analyze, and report test data with accuracy and attention to detail. Follow all documented testing and inspection procedures to ensure consistent product evaluation. Provide timely feedback to Quality Management regarding product quality issues or trends. Maintain compliance with all Safety, Health, and Environmental guidelines. Follow company operating procedures, policies, and benefit rules. Keep the laboratory and work area clean, organized, and audit-ready. Perform calibration processes on equipment.
