•Responsible for completing in-process and final dimensional measurements at various stages of the production process to maintain quality and reliability of products in accordance with required quality plans. Use various measuring devices to ensure compliance with specifications. Accepts, rejects, or reworks defective or malfunctioning parts. Work with Quality Manager, Production Supervisor and other Inspectors as well as manufacturing personnel to maintain quality conformance on all parts. Assists Quality Manager with product defect investigations as needed. May perform visual, dimensional, mechanical, precision mechanical, functional, or electrical inspection of parts, assemblies or final product in all stages of the production process (incoming, in-process and final inspection).
Responsibilities:
Perform regular quality assessments on all incoming materials from vendors and outgoing products for shipping. Reject all products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations. Read blueprints, plans, and specifications to understand the requirements of products and services. Measure product dimensions, examine functionality and compare the final product to the specifications. Recommend improvements to the production process to ensure quality control. Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records. Teach the production team about quality control concerns to improve product excellence. Resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent qualification. Certification in quality control is preferred. A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role. Excellent knowledge of MS Office. Good math and technical skills. Strong understanding of quality control standards and testing techniques. In-depth Knowledge of AS 9100 and related quality standards
