Job Summary Belcan is seeking an experienced First Article Inspection (FAI) Quality Specialist to support aerospace manufacturing and assembly operations in the Windsor/Windsor Locks area. This position will be responsible for developing and reviewing First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs), interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T requirements, and ensuring FAI documentation complies with AS9102 Revision C, customer requirements, and internal quality standards. We're looking for a proactive, detail-oriented professional who is comfortable working directly with engineering, quality, manufacturing teams, customers, and shop-floor personnel in a fast-paced environment. What You'll Do Develop, compile, and review First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) in accordance with AS9102 requirements. Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, blueprints, and GD&T requirements. Create and maintain FAI packages using DISCUS and other FAI software tools. Review manufacturing and inspection documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance. Identify, document, and communicate discrepancies and nonconformances. Work directly with engineering, quality, manufacturing, and shop-floor teams to resolve FAI-related issues. Support continuous improvement initiatives within the FAI process. Ensure compliance with internal QMS requirements, customer specifications, and applicable aerospace quality standards. Required Qualifications Experience with First Article Inspection (FAI) processes and AS9102, preferably AS9102 Revision C. Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T. Experience developing or reviewing FAIR packages. Experience with DISCUS or similar FAI software. Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing and inspection processes. Knowledge of inspection methods, measurement techniques, and inspection documentation. Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment. Due to the nature of the work US Citizenship is required. Preferred Qualifications Experience with SAP. Experience with Net-Inspect. Knowledge of GE ECAV requirements. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Previous experience supporting aerospace manufacturing, assembly, or quality operations.
