Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Minimum 5 years of related inspection or manufacturing experience Mechanical inspection experience Strong knowledge of inspection tools and precision measuring equipment Advanced shop mathematics knowledge Knowledge of machine shop practices Thorough knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical instructions Experience inspecting tight-tolerance machined components Strong computer skills Experience performing incoming, in-process, and final inspections Preferred Skills CMM inspection experience PC-DMIS experience Experience inspecting machined parts and subassemblies Experience in a precision machining or similar manufacturing environment Job Responsibilities Inspect incoming materials for compliance with specifications and quality requirements Perform in-process inspections throughout production Inspect finished machined parts and subassemblies Verify dimensional accuracy against engineering drawings and specifications Ensure tight-tolerance components meet required quality standards Use precision inspection tools and measuring equipment Interpret GD&T requirements during inspection activities Document inspection results and quality findings Identify nonconforming materials, components, and finished products Perform routine quality inspections at multiple stages of production
