POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly organized Food Production Manager to oversee baked goods production and ensure consistency and quality. This role requires strong leadership skills, reliability, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining food safety standards, ensuring warehouse compliance, and fostering a culture of accountability and teamwork. Success in this position requires strategic thinking, adaptability, and efficient management of product flow to maintain freshness and quality control.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure the production of a high volume of different types of bread, in accordance with program guidelines. Ability to make decisions and substitutions based on quality control, or operational situations. Ensure a safe and orderly working environment, free of slip/trip hazards; maintain compliance to meet/exceed all site and regulatory requirements. Will be a culture champion and, in a position to support and mentor our leaders. Deliver cost and performance, complete projects & assignments on time, and according to plan. Ensures adherence to food safety, regulatory and quality guidelines.
Drives employee engagement:
Sets goals, assesses performance, ensures open communication, provides coaching, and establishes a team atmosphere. Develops procedures, protocols, and standardized work; Ensures/Provides training to develop/grow direct reports. Manage all employee related issues within the department. Effectively manage departmental staffing requirements in accordance to the operating budget. Well organized, high energy, data driven, and results oriented. Maintain a positive and engaging work environment. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrate strategic interactions with other departments. Clear understanding of P&L impact. Ability to lead a team, fostering culture of inclusion and responsibility. Minimum ten years of bakery manufacturing, high volume production, handling, storage, experience. Must be responsive, reliable and work in a deadline-oriented environment. Proven management and leadership skills with ability to hold the team accountable to KPIs. Ability to plan tasks days and weeks in advance and clearly communicate the plan. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with comfort and the ability to speak publicly and teach others, bilingual (Spanish and English) Detailed and thorough documentation and record-keeping skills with production as well as staff coaching and concerns.
Equal Opportunity Pay:
$85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
