BACKGROUND

We are an independent third-party testing, inspection, and certification organization with an established world-wide network of qualified affiliates. This is a hands-on Technician position involves the testing of building products in accordance with applicable technical standards and specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience with construction, power tools, product testing, or window/building-product testing and a strong desire to develop technically. Flexibility in work schedule and working overtime, if needed, is ideal.

DUTIES :

The successful candidate will perform, but not be limited to, the following duties: Set up and assemble test fixtures and laboratory equipment. Carry out thermal, physical, and performance evaluations of building-related products. Follow established testing procedures, specifications, and applicable industry standards. Record, review, and analyze test results and assist with technical documentation. Review drawings, specifications, and technical requirements as needed. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized laboratory and work area. Support testing activities independently and in collaboration with technical and operations personnel. Build knowledge across testing methods and take on greater responsibility as experience develops. Provide technical assistance to internal teams and customers when required Other duties as may be assigned by their manager occasion to occasion.

QUALIFICATIONS

: The successful candidate will, as minimum, have: Hands-on experience with tools, equipment, construction, or product testing. Ability to read and follow technical documents, drawings, and testing procedures. Familiarity with ASTM or other industry standards is an asset. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel. Strong attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong safety awareness and commitment to quality. Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work in a hands-on laboratory environment. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel. Forklift experience/certification is an asset. Willingness to learn, develop technical skills, and take on increasing responsibility.
