What You'll Do:
Perform visual inspection of uncoated and coated components (primarily medical wires) using a microscope, Tappi charts, and other tools as assigned. Perform dimensional inspection of uncoated and coated components (primarily medical wires) using handheld and benchtop micrometers, calipers, rulers, tape measures, pin gauges, and other tools as assigned. Meet daily targets for quality and delivery. Read, interpret, and follow work instructions, process instructions, job travelers, control plans, blueprints, drawings, and other documents as assigned. Record inspection results in Plex ERP, and other software as assigned. Create non-conformance reports (NCR) when non-conforming material is identified. Describe quality issues to engineering, production, and other staff upon request. Participate in experiments, investigations, and other quality improvement activities upon request. Maintain a clean and safe work environment consistent with applicable policies and regulations, includingISO 13485
2016. Understand and apply principles of quality control for medical device manufacturing. Document activities and observations using Good Documentation Practices (GDP). Participate in training as assigned. May be required to fulfill other duties throughout the company as needed. This includes but is not limited to, setting up wires, dismounting wires, and packaging final product for shipment.What You'll Bring:
High school diploma or GED.What Sets You Apart:
Experience working with measuring devices such as gage blocks, 6' calipers, mechanical and digital handheld micrometers, and laser micrometers. Functional knowledge of geometry, fractions, percentages, ratios, and measurements. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Excellent eyesight. Good manual dexterity. Good verbal and written communication. Ability to interact with fellow employees. Attention to detail and an exact and precise mentality.
