is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Associate to support quality and compliance across our freight and logistics operations. The successful candidate will help ensure that shipments, transportation records, cargo handling procedures, and temperature-controlled freight meet company standards and applicable requirements. This position is particularly important for maintaining quality throughout refrigerated and time-sensitive shipments, where accurate documentation, proper handling, and temperature monitoring are essential. Key Responsibilities Inspect shipment and freight documentation for accuracy and completeness. Review cargo handling and loading procedures for compliance with company standards. Monitor shipment records, temperature logs, GPS/telemetry information, and proof-of-delivery documentation. Identify damaged, missing, improperly handled, or non-compliant freight and report issues promptly. Conduct quality checks on incoming and outgoing shipments. Verify that refrigerated shipments remain within required temperature ranges. Document quality issues, discrepancies, corrective actions, and inspection results. Work with drivers, dispatchers, warehouse personnel, and operations staff to resolve quality-related problems. Assist with internal audits and compliance reviews. Track recurring quality issues and recommend process improvements. Maintain accurate electronic and paper quality records. Help ensure proper chain-of-custody procedures for sensitive, pharmaceutical, perishable, and specialized cargo. Follow company safety procedures and applicable transportation and regulatory requirements. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in quality assurance, quality control, logistics, warehousing, transportation, or freight operations preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to review documents and identify discrepancies. Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office or logistics management systems. Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with operations teams. Knowledge of temperature-controlled logistics or cold-chain operations is a plus. Experience with transportation documentation, inventory systems, or compliance procedures is preferred.
Pay:
$23.00 - $28.00 per hour
