On-Site Pay:
$33-$40/hour Position Overview A precision aerospace manufacturer is seeking an experienced CMM Programmer to support complex aerospace and defense components. This is an advanced inspection role requiring strong CMM programming, Calypso, GD&T, blueprint interpretation, and First Article Inspection experience. What You'll Do Program and operate CMM equipment for complex precision components. Develop, modify, and optimize Calypso CMM programs. Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) and first-piece inspections. Measure components against engineering drawings, CAD data, and customer specifications. Review inspection results and identify dimensional discrepancies. Prepare and support AS9102 First Article documentation. Analyze inspection data and support quality reporting. Work with Engineering, Production, and Quality to resolve measurement issues. Support CMM calibration, accuracy, and equipment reliability. Assist with continuous improvement of inspection methods and processes. Train or mentor other inspectors on CMM operation and programming. Qualifications 5+ years of CMM programming and operating experience in manufacturing. Strong hands-on experience with Calypso CMM software. Experience performing First Article Inspections. Strong knowledge of GD&T, blueprints, and engineering drawings. Experience inspecting complex precision components. Understanding of
AS9102 FAI
requirements. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and measurement skills. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Preferred Experience Aerospace or defense manufacturing Zeiss CMM equipment Robotic or automated CMM systems
AS9100 / ISO 9001
Formal CMM programming training CAD-based inspection programming Metrology or advanced dimensional inspection
Pay:
$35.00 - $40.00 per hour
