QC WELDING INSPECTOR JOIN A TEAM WITH THE STRENGTH OF STEEL

As a QC Inspector at our fabrication shop in Columbus, GA, you will be a great asset to our team. What we'll love about you:
  • Minimum level-1 certified welding inspector from the AWS
  • Thorough knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies
  • Experience in the structural fabrication environment is an asset
  • A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach
  • Thorough knowledge in reading welding symbols and diagrams and read blueprints
  • Thorough with the setup and operation of welding machine and other equipment and metal fabrication equipment
  • Understanding and experience working with GD&T specifications
  • Must be safety conscious and adhere to all safety processes and policies What you'll work on: As a Production Coordinator at Steelcon, you will be responsible for developing, organizing, and tracking detailed fabrication information to assist the fabrication team.
This would include:
  • Printing Fabrication Drawings and Labels
  • Organizing & Filing Fabrication Drawings
  • Creating Detailed Project Information on excel spreadsheets.
  • Creating Fabrication Routing Plans on a tracking program
  • Tracking Fabrication Progress and addressing issues with the fabrication team
  • Developing material orders based on upcoming work requirements.
  • Creating Shipping Bills

Friday:
7:00am to 4:00pm What you'll work on: As a QC Inspector you will help build a quality program by carrying out the inspections and the welding quality control required according to the procedures and specifications. You will work to guarantee high-quality output through random checks on anything from welding equipment maintenance procedures to the final approval steps before releasing into production. You will remove items that do not meet company specifications from the production and adjust to ensure the error does not occur again. You will be a firm advocate of quality in our business. The ideal candidate will possess a trained eye for detail and will be reliable and committed. In depth knowledge and comprehension of quality standards is essential.
