Job Description
- This position is responsible for dimensional checks for in process, first-article and final inspections of parts. Must be fluent in fabrication/machining blueprint reading as well as dimensional measuring with tape measure and dial calipers. (This is not a visual quality inspector position.)
- Successful completion of written and practical dimensional inspection skills assessment is required to receive a job offer.
- Certified Drug-Free Workplace Participating Employer
- Pre-employment drug screen required.
JOB REQUIRES THE FOLLOWING SKILLS
- 1 year minimum experience in dimensional inspection of fabricated & machined parts.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Fluent in use of tape measure, calipers, micrometer and other measuring tools.
- Strong ability to read blueprints.
- Ability to identify Carbon Steel, Galvanized Steel, Aluminum, and Stainless Steel.
- Email/Internet proficiency.
- Strong formal report writing skills.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
- CAD/CAM design experience. (AutoCAD)
- 3-axis Manual/CNC milling experience.
- CMM device experience.
