Job Description

About BuggyBusters BuggyBusters isn't your average retail store; we are one of the most remarkable extreme discount treasure hunts out there. With a headquarters in Douglasville, GA and locations in Hickory, NC and Morganton, NC our business relies on moving massive volumes of liquidated merchandise at breakneck speeds through our high-stakes online auctions and our famous "bins". For our customers, it's a highly competitive game where they dig for incredible deals on everything from electronics to home goods as prices drop daily. For our team, this means stepping into a fast-paced work environment. If you are like a dynamics, "start-up" culture where everyone has potential to make a big impact, this is the place for you! Quality Assurance Specialist Processing | Douglasville, GA | Full-Time, Hourly
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Quality Assurance Specialist safeguards the quality and accuracy of merchandise moving through our Douglasville processing area. This role inspects items as they are processed, reviews customer returns to pinpoint what went wrong, and routes those findings to the Processing Supervisor and the team huddle so issues get corrected at the source. Sitting independent of processing output and reporting to the Retail Manager, the QA Specialist is the checkpoint that keeps defects and mis-graded product from reaching our customers — protecting revenue and buyer trust.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Quality Inspection Inspect items in-process at the line — sampling work as it is processed, not only finished goods — against a written quality and grading standard. Catch defects and mis-grades before items move to retail. Verify that grading and item descriptions match the actual product. Returns Review & Root Cause Review customer returns daily to identify what caused each issue. Determine which items need to go back to the Processing Supervisor for review, and which should be raised in the team huddle for everyone to learn from. Log defects and mis-grades, categorize root causes, and report weekly trends to leadership. Standards & Continuous Improvement Run periodic process-adherence audits and coach the team on corrective actions. Own and maintain the processing QA checklist and grading criteria. Report to the Retail Manager on quality performance and return trends to drive down return rates.
SCHEDULE & HOURS
Target shift start time: 9:00 AM (may vary or change based on business needs) Sundays off — every week Must be flexible to work additional hours and stay late as needed Punctuality and reliability are essential
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Starting at $17 per hour Medical, dental, and vision insurance Accrued paid time off (PTO) Sundays off — every week
REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent Strong attention to detail and consistency in applying standards Comfortable communicating quality issues clearly and objectively Reliable personal transportation Ability to lift up to 40 lbs independently; heavier items with team lift assistance Ability to stand for up to 12 hours per shift Prior QA, inspection, or retail/warehouse experience is a plus The pay range for this role is: 17 - 17 USD per hour(Douglasville)
